You know I love that dress....and the picture is wonderful as well.

Yes the color goes very well. Very warm feeling comes out of it

Do people who are photophobic look at the bright side of life?
:iconsuperkev:
Nice and warm. It's a comfortable photo, althought the unusual rotation and neck tilt indicate there's some tension in it too. Lovely. Technically speaking, it's a touch hot on the chin and cheek. I'd burn those areas a bit to tone them down.

This, to me, is one of the most striking pieces you've ever done. (I've had it open since you post it waiting for the quality time to spend with it.)

Have had to think about why this image is SO damn charismatic to the eye. The perfect symettry of the central diagonal is certainly a huge part of it, breaking the image neatly into halves. It's an extra bonus that the collarbone "separates" the neck from the body, since the whole image borders on abstraction anyway. The dress might not be a dress, for instance - everything just sort of barely "holds together," and all the elements thrive with independent value as important as their whole.

Seriously, if we wanna talk about " charisma cues," virtually every component scores. Lips, defined jawline, tensile neck, licks of fiery hair, creamy skintone of chest, delicate detail of fabric, and the one unmistakable contour of the armband. If there's a "non-charismatic" element, it's only the sharp corner of shoulder up top, but it fits so well into the composition (that gulf up there is splendid) that it merely earns its keep by a different standard.

Even the background is a winner, a borderline "creamy plane" that throws the whole perspective into question - is it carpet? a wall? a ceiling? It's perfect for its ambiguity.

The hot spots are a minor problem. Rather than Burning them, I'd just sample nearby colors and paint over the hotspots at 50% opacity to blend them in better. But they're only a minor distraction to me - I'm visually delighted with how rich such a simple potent image can be. It's utterly gorgeous, but not without gravity as well.

Wish you had used a better cam - this picture is lovely and very pleasing to the eye ( could go vertical too, even )
:iconrayah:
Thank you, Thorne, for your thoughtful comments on this piece. I think that this one may be my personal favourite of mine now.

And, coming from you, your well-detailed words leaves this writer speechless...lol.

As it is, I am at the mercy of this cam that I use.

Just recently, I took about 200 fotos on a digital and it was wonderful. However, I'm not at liberty to post them...

So, yes, maybe someday I'll have something better. But, for now, I am happy that I have an audience that can enjoy what I can produce.

I meant to fav this one a long time ago.

The pose and the lighting is so perfect.

It's so interesting how subtleties arise when least expected. A person can try to create something and say, Freud steps in? ;)

I suppose that's why, for me, I choose not to do anything more with my fotos - at this time - other than seize the image and capture it. My skills at manip are far more remedial now to even think about making a mess of the entire foto. Perhaps, in the future.

However, I am taking in all of the technical critiques and learning what I can about how to make the fotos better. Please keep them coming. :)

gosh darn,
this is
sensual.
again,
the lips
are wonderful.
tones, shadows and crop
lend themselves to
creating a
sexy
image.
